The World View Global Education Teacher Leader Institute will be held June 15-17, 2020 in Chapel Hill. The program will bring together current classroom teachers from K-12 schools across North Carolina. Together we will examine global issues that impact students and their communities. Participants are led by expert university faculty and others as we engage in dialogue about key global topics, and explore leadership tools and resources to support global education initiatives in classrooms and schools. Educators will learn strategies for integrating the skills and knowledge needed for their students to be engaged global citizens.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:

To empower teachers with knowledge, strategies and resources so that they can build their own capacity to be successful global educators.
•
To cultivate global education advocates in North Carolina.
•
To build a cohort of peers that support each other in implementing global education initiatives and instruction in the classroom.
AUDIENCE:
K-12 teachers, all disciplines. Application required.
