Workshop title: Credible or Clickbait? Why News Literacy Matters in Business

Workshop description: Why does news literacy matter in business? The creation and publication of “fake news” and misinformation negatively affect both companies and trustworthy business journalism. Fake news in business journalism is not new, but it has become more common due to technology and due to the increased focus—some would call it pressure—to produce higher stock prices and stronger financial performances. In this interactive virtual workshop, learn how news gets made and how you can evaluate the credibility of news you find on the web. These practical skills will help you become news literate in your professional and personal lives.
