Committed to promoting a culture of ethics, integrity, responsibility, and accountability.

Welcome to Carolina Ethics Line, the anonymous reporting and inquiry hotline used by The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Carolina Ethics Line provides a simple, anonymous way to report possible unethical or improper conduct, and/or violations of University policies and procedures, regulations, or state and federal laws.

Please note that this website is maintained by a third party vendor, EthicsPoint, Inc. to allow you to make reports anonymously. Unless you identify yourself, your identity cannot be disclosed to the University. Should you choose to identify yourself, the University will keep your identity confidential, unless disclosure is required by law.

Carolina Ethics Line is not intended to replace existing channels of communication and reporting systems on campus. It is available as an additional platform if you do not feel comfortable telling your supervisor or the designated University office about your concerns.

Please Note: Carolina Ethics Line is NOT A 911 OR EMERGENCY SERVICE.

Do not use this site to report events presenting an immediate threat to life or property. Reports submitted through this service may not receive an immediate response. If you require emergency assistance, please contact your local authorities.
