Resources for remote teaching and working

The following resources provide information about instructional technology, online storage and interdepartmental communication.

Resource: Keep Teaching at UNC

Keep Teaching provides guidelines and resources to help you continue teaching from a distance when you or your students are unable to meet on campus during temporary closures.

Resource: UNC Work Remote

In preparation for unplanned events, such as inclement weather and public health situations, ITS sends out information intended to help you plan and prepare for alternate work arrangements. Now is a great time to ensure that the tools you may need to work from home or an alternative location are ready to go.

Resource: Gillings Zoom Conferencing

Zoom allows for video, audio and screen sharing for up to 300 participants. It can be used from any computer, laptop, tablet or mobile device. Zoom also works with rooms equipped for video conferencing.

Resource: Sakai and Instructional Technology

The Gillings School's Instructional Technology group supports Sakai and related instructional technologies for the faculty, staff and students in the school. We can help guide you through campus and school-supported technologies and help determine the “why” and “when” of using technology for instruction.

Resource: Microsoft OneDrive

OneDrive is an individual online storage space in the cloud for all students, faculty and staff members.

Resource: Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams is one of the applications available to all UNC-Chapel Hill employees as part of the Microsoft Office Collaboration Suite. Teams is accessible to all UNC employees with an ONYEN and password. Users who do not have a valid ONYEN and password, but have a Microsoft Office 365 Account, can access Teams.
